
Myanmar has found a new partner in Germany which has shown interest in helping this country’s economic development. These intentions were stated to Myanmar President Mr. Htin Kyaw by Mr. Gerd Muller who is German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development. The meeting took place on June 19, 2016 in Nay Pyi Taw and various other important topics such as vocational training, provision of technology, transfer of modern technology for agriculture, and financing for local small- and medium-sized enterprises were also discussed. Mr. Muller also invited the Myanmar President to visit Germany for further discussion. So far Germany has invested US $ 21.1 million in Myanmar at is at 28th rank in the list of friend investors in this country. After this meeting this rank is expected to considerably improve.
